Store Suspension Fix Pack · Guide

What should I check before I request a review of a Merchant Center suspension?

Before you request a review, confirm that every trust detail a shopper would look for is live on your public site: a full business name and address, a working phone or email, clear refund and shipping pages, and prices and availability that match your feed. Check these on the live store, not in your admin, and only request the review once every item is fixed. After an unsuccessful review Google can apply a cool-down period before you can ask again, and it may get longer with each failed review, so asking early costs time.

A free pre-review checklist you can work through today

  1. Read the notice in full. Copy the exact wording of the suspension notice into a document. Note the policy it names and the date, because your fixes and your review request should both refer back to it.
  2. Check the Contact page. Make sure it shows the business name, a full street address and at least one direct contact method such as a phone number or email address, not only a web form. Add the same details to the site footer.
  3. Check the About page. State who runs the store, where the business is based and what you sell. The business name here should match the name in your Merchant Center business information.
  4. Check refund and return terms. Publish a separate refund or returns page that gives the return window, the condition items must be in, who pays return shipping and how refunds are issued. Link it from the footer and from product pages if you can.
  5. Check shipping terms. List shipping costs, the regions you ship to and realistic delivery times. Compare those times with the shipping settings in Merchant Center and make the two say the same thing.
  6. Spot-check prices against the feed. Open five to ten products from your feed export on the live site and compare price, sale price, currency and availability. Fix the feed or the site so every sampled item matches.
  7. Walk through checkout as a shopper. Add an item to the cart in a private browser window and go to the payment step. Confirm the page is served over HTTPS, the total shows taxes and shipping before payment, and no surprise fees appear.
  8. Remove claims you cannot support. Delete badges, review counts, discount claims or delivery promises that you cannot back up. Unsupported claims are a common reason a store looks untrustworthy to a reviewer.
  9. Complete any verification first. If the Needs attention tab asks for identity verification, upload the business or ID documents it requests. Google says this is often required before you can request a review of an account-level suspension.

Common mistakes before a review request

When a done-for-you pack helps

The checklist above works if you know which page is causing the problem. If the notice gives no detail, or you have already been rejected once, a done-for-you pack can save a second wasted request. For merchants, we audit your public About, Contact, Refund, Shipping and Terms pages, compare your site with your feed export, and return an exact fix list, a pre-review checklist and a drafted review request for you to submit yourself.

Questions

How do I know every fix is live before I ask for a review?

Open each page in a private browser window, as a visitor rather than as the store admin, and confirm the change is visible to a normal visitor. Clear any site cache first. Then sample products from your feed and compare them with the live pages. Keep a dated list of what you changed so your review request can describe the fixes accurately.

Should I mention every change in the review request?

Yes, briefly. A short list of the specific changes, such as adding a street address to the Contact page or aligning shipping times with the feed, shows the reviewer what to look at. Keep it factual and avoid arguing with the suspension. Only list changes that are actually live on the site at the moment you submit.

What if the notice does not say which page is the problem?

That is common. Treat the whole public store as in scope: contact details, About, refund, shipping, terms, product pages and checkout. Work through each one against the checklist on this page. Fixing only the page you suspect, and requesting a review too early, is a frequent reason a first request is rejected.
